From Celebration to Inebriation

From Celebration to Inebriation examines the quiet progression many men experience when alcohol, or any destructive pattern, moves from celebration into control. Using the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15, this book traces how freedom can slowly become habit, habit can become captivity, and captivity can ultimately lead a man into the far country. But the story does not end there. The same journey that leads into brokenness can also lead back toward awakening, reconciliation, and restoration.

From Celebration to Inebriation is not merely a book about alcohol. It is a book about the journey that begins when a man desires freedom from the Father’s house. Using the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15 as its foundation, this book traces the progression of a life that moves away from wisdom, authority, and protection into the far country—where destructive patterns often begin to take shape. Alcohol may be one expression of that descent, but the deeper issue is the heart’s desire for independence apart from God. What begins as liberation can slowly become celebration, normalization, domination, and despair. Yet the story does not end there. It ultimately points to awakening, repentance, reconciliation, and restoration through the grace of the Father.

The From Celebration to Inebriation Study Guide was created to help men walk through that message together in an honest and meaningful way. Each session follows the same stages explored in the book and includes discussion questions, Scripture exploration, and personal reflection designed to encourage humility, accountability, and spiritual growth. While some conversations may be uncomfortable, the goal is not condemnation but clarity—to help men recognize where they are in the story and remind them that no matter how far they have traveled into the far country, the road home is still open.
